Marilyn Jean Fishing offers memorable fishing trips around NYC for first-timers to the most experienced anglers. Join us to journey through New York Harbor, off the coast of New Jersey, and to some of NYC’s best fishing spots. You will travel on one of our high-end fleet with an experienced captain, and have the opportunity to catch trophy striped bass, flaky cod, and several other exciting and tasty Atlantic fish.
We depart from the famous Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn to areas such as Rockaway Beach, Jamaica Bay, Sandy Hook, Coney Island, and more. Along the way, you can enjoy the sights, the NYC skyline, and the relaxation of being out on the water.
Once we reach our fishing destinations, our team provides quality bait as part of your ticket cost. We also have rods and reels available to rent for $5 if you do not have your own equipment, and tackle available for purchase. There are multiple trips you can choose from depending on your experience level and the type of fishing you want to do with half day, full day, and evening trips:

Our fleet is also available for private fishing charters in NYC. This is a great way to celebrate a special event, plan a group outing for your company or organization, or simply create the customized fishing experience you want. For fishing charters, we include all equipment and lessons for your party. We also have catering delicious packages for a more memorable party.

This time of year, we’re sailing daily exclusively for blackfish, so of course when we’re out on the water, that’s what we’re trying to find for our guests. The day started out very strong. There was *a lot* of action. Most of them were shorts, but there were enough keepers mixed in that a lot
Blackfishing season officially starts today! We already have some great spots for catching Tautog all around Sheepshead Bay! Our sailing times have changed as well. We’re going from 3 shorter trips a day to one longer trip. Every day, we are sailing 7am to 3pm, so be up nice and early and come join us!
This season has been a great one. Weather has been weird at times, but when we find those spots, our guests have been taking home more fish than their entire neighborhood can handle. It’s been an amazing summer! October 15th, however, is the season so many of our guests have been waiting for: Blackfish season!
