Blackfish Season Is On !

Yes we are strictly Blackfishing now and until the end of the season in late December.  Fishing has gotten off to a good start.  White crabs and green crabs are readily available lately. We have missed a few days due to weather but as long as the weather cooperates we will be sailing every day 7 AM to 3 or 3:30 PM for Blackfish.

We will continue night Striped Bass fishing on weekends only from now on from 7 PM to 12 midnight Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights only.  There have been some large Bass around at night but not many.  We are drifting live eels for bait on the night trips.

Blackfishing Daily & Full Moon Stripers 8pm 11/23 & 24

Blackfishing has been from good to slow depending on the day.  We missed quite a few trips in the last couple of weeks due to the weather.  It seems to take the fish a couple of days to start biting again after a good storm.  We will continue fishing for Blackfish  every day 7am to 3pm weather permitting until the season closes at the end of December.  There are usually white crabs available for purchase now. Green crabs are included for bait. There are a few spots left for Tommy’s BIG pool tog trip on 11/25 @ 6:30 am, you must reserve on line.

We have full moon Striped Bass fishing trips this Friday and Saturday evening at 8pm.  We use live eels for bait, please reserve online.

Blackfish and Cod reports 4-6 and 4-7-18

First few areas were quiet Saturday exept for some dogfish this morning. There was a nice size ground swell left over from yesterday’s wind that diminished as the day went on. Capt.Tony did find some Blackfish life later in the day. Most fish were short but there was a good amount of bites all on the clams. Pool fish was an 8lb Tog.  Sunday the Tog wouldn’t take the clams except for a few shorts.  We did manage a couple nice Codfish on sunday.  We didn’t sail Monday or Tuesday.  We will try again  Wednesday at 7am, and the weather looks really nice through the weekend.

We will have crabs available for bait  on all upcoming trips.

Opening Weekend Fishing Report 3/31 and 4/1

Hey guys, it was a real nice day out there today as you can see in the pics it was nearly flat calm. Fishing was not good we caught a couple keeper Cod and a bunch of short Cod on the 120-140’ wrecks. The deeper drops had more perch life and a few Ling and Blackfish came up.

Similar report for 4/1.

It is confirmed that Blackfish is open from 4/1-4/30.

We will be fishing everyday for Blackfish and Ling starting on 4/7

from 7am to 3pm.

Update 4/7 canceled due to wind/rain
