Deep Water Ling Fishing Trip, June 26th, 2020

Last night’s deep water ling trip was excellent; the weather was great and anglers young and old had plenty of ling coming over the rails.

Our next trip sails Friday 7/3 at 9 pm; tickets must be purchased ahead of time.

Marilyn Jean Update

The MJ5 is is back from the shipyard. Unfortunately we will not be sailing until at least May 1st. Believe me our crew is eager to get back out there. But we must do our part to protect our crew and customers during these times. We will continue performing maintenance on the boats at our dock In Sheepshead Bay until the NY State eases up on business restrictions.

When the restrictions do ease up we will immediately start sailing again. Remember the Marilyn Jean 5 will provide you with the most space on any party boat in our area. We will limit our capacity and with our already extremely wide isles and large cabin our customers will enjoy the most distancing between passengers when it’s time to fish again in New York.  

Once we get the green light to fish we be sailing everyday @ 7am to 3pm for Ling and Cod on the MJ5 and some Striped Bass trips on the MJ4 as well.  Will will also start sailing at night from 7pm to 12 midnight on the MJ5 for Striped Bass and Bluefish.

We look forward to fishing with all of you again soon. Until then we pray 🙏 you will all be well, stay safe and do your part to slow down the spread and help those in need.

Limits of Big Porgy’s Everyday ! Sailing Daily

Fishing was Super this week.  Limits  of  humpbacked Porgy’s plus Seabass, Fluke, Triggerfish, Blowfish and a few Blues were mixed in on the morning trips.   We had a few slow night trips over the last week but the night fishing has picked up again the last few nights.

We will be fishing everyday this week from Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn NY. On the Marilyn Jean V from 7am to 3pm and 7pm to 12 midnight.

Porgy’s Are Still Biting Good with Seabass Triggerfish Blues and Fluke

Fishing was Great again this week.  Tons of Porgy’s plus Seabass, Fluke, Mackerel, Triggerfish, Blowfish and a few Blues were mixed in the buckets on most fishing trips. Porgy’s were by far the Most plentiful fish caught on both the day and night fishing trips.

Day and Night Porgy’s are Biting plus Ling and Seabass

Loads of Ling 7am to 3pm. BIG Night Blues and Bass 7pm

We are continuing to fill buckets and cooler full of Ling on our 7am to 3pm trips. At night on the 7pm to 12 midnight trips Big Bluefish have been biting well with  Striped Bass mixed in on some of the fishing trips.  We sail these trips everyday on the Marilyn Jean V.

The Half Day Trips on the Marilyn Jean IV are targeting Fluke from 8am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm on the weekends only.  Private charters and groups are welcome call Ryan 917-650-3212 for Charters and group pricing.

BIG BLUES at Night 7pm. Buckets FULL of LING on the 7am trips

MJ5- BIG Bluefish have moved into our Bay and they are biting bait at night sometimes with Striped Bass mixed in on the 7pm to 12 midnight fishing trips.   On the morning deep sea trips the fishing for Ling has been excellent everyone has catching a bucketful or more of the tasty fish with an occasional Cod or Flounder mixed in !

Half day Fluke trips this Sunday and Memorisl Day Monday (Saturday is Sokd Out) 7am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm on the MJ4.

Ling and Striped Bass are Arriving

On the MJ5 the Ling fishing is getting better everyday on the full day 7am to 3:30 pm fishing trips.  Average catches of 10 Ling a man have been comon this week with a few Blackfish mixed in. We did very well Striped Bass fishing on Sunday and the Stripers have started to bite on the night fishing trips from 7pm to 12 midnight .

Half day Fluke fishing on the Mj4 this weekend 8am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm.

Blackfishing Daily & Full Moon Stripers 8pm 11/23 & 24

Blackfishing has been from good to slow depending on the day.  We missed quite a few trips in the last couple of weeks due to the weather.  It seems to take the fish a couple of days to start biting again after a good storm.  We will continue fishing for Blackfish  every day 7am to 3pm weather permitting until the season closes at the end of December.  There are usually white crabs available for purchase now. Green crabs are included for bait. There are a few spots left for Tommy’s BIG pool tog trip on 11/25 @ 6:30 am, you must reserve on line.

We have full moon Striped Bass fishing trips this Friday and Saturday evening at 8pm.  We use live eels for bait, please reserve online.
