We have been catching some nice Fluke mixed in with Seabass lately. We have also been doing some Ling fishing on the slower days.
We have still had good Seabass action for the most part on the 7 am trips. A couple of days we hit the offshore Ling and Cod grounds to help fill the buckets when the Seabass fishing wasn’t so hot. Some days we stuck with the Seabass all day if the fishing was good enough or the wind was too strong to head deeper.
Seabass fishing was good through Friday of last week, but they backed off a bit over the weekend. There were some nice flurries of Triggerfish, Porgys and Ling Sat.and Sun. to help send everyone home with some tasty fish for the BBQ.
Seabass fishing did pick up again on Monday and Tuesday and we spent most of the day fishing for them with some limits reached.
Seabass opened up today and they were biting ! Take a look at theses beauties !
The tide was a little bit strong for the Porgys to bite this weekend. So Captain Tony headed offshore Saturday and Sunday and pounded on the ling. Andrew banged out a 12 pound cod on his 11th birthday day Saturday! We have also been catching many Seabass that have been released, and we are looking good for the Seabass opener this Wednesday, July 15 at 7 AM!
The porgy fishing was very good open till Friday of last week then it slowed down a bit over the holiday weekend. The fishing pick right back up again Monday and Tuesday. We have been targeting Porgys from 7am -3pm and 7pm -12am everyday.
